DeleteI think it all depends on the condition of the player, and the sport they play. If they are in poor condition as a young athlete, then they should not continue on as players in there older years. But if they are in great condition, they have no reason to stop playing there choice sport. a pro of being an older professional athlete is that you would have more experience. A con would be that the media would be all over you for being "old" and not retiring. Overall I see no reason for young athletes to quit, seeing that they have several years until they are actually "old" and unable to play.
ReplyDeletevery swag
DeleteThe cons of playing a sport at a older age is you will be slower than other people. You might also be weaker than some the other players. The pros of playing a sport at a older age is that you will might be smarter than the other players. You might also be more experience at the sport. This is the pros and cons of older athlete's staying in the game.

Deleteyes, and some pros are. it keeps older people active. it keeps them more physically fit and healthy. it also helps them stay wealthy. some of the cons are. is that they can get really hurt if playing a sport like football. or they can pull a muscle. they could also just start to lack in school.

ReplyDeletehave you ever wondered why professional athletes tend to retire from their sports at relatively young ages? professional athletes that tend to stay in the game longer could gather more money or sign better contracts. The younger athletes that retire at an early age could of been hurt and don't want to paralyze there self if they get hurt even worse. There is a positive effect on getting out of the sport at a younger age you can say you were a professional athlete and you still have a chance to do something else in life.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you because, why would younger players want to jeopardize their life that they still have ahead of them by having a life changing tragedy better to retire early.
DeleteI think that professional athletes retire at sports at a young age, because they either get hurt and they don't recover in time to continue or their injury involves them to not be able to continue. They have all the money that they will ever need to last them a life time. They either just want to relax and enjoy life and use there money to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteSome pros of older athletes staying in the game is that they can prove something show people that they are not to old to do anything and that they still have strength even though they are at there old they can set examples. They another pro is that you can set recored for your achievements that have never been done before. Cons are that you are old and you can easily get hurt and have body problems and your most likely to have a like threatening occur of events, but other than that you can retire and have all the money that you earned :)
Agreed, the staying in the game even know there older can also relate to setting new goals in there life.
DeleteI agree because older athletes get hurt and injured easier
DeletePros; The longer you play the more retirement money you can earn. You have a better chance to be more recognized by more people when you play till your older. You can set a recored or being an older person playing a sport.
ReplyDeleteCons: You can get hurt more easily, Your bones are more fragile, You lose your breathe quicker. Your not always as flexible and able to do the things you were able to do.
a pro is that they have more experience then other young athletes.
ReplyDeletea con is that they can get hurt easier then when they were younger.
i agree with you.
Deleteyou need to but more details in my opinion.
I think that professional athletes retire at young ages, because they figure they have enough money and fame. They also don't consider there fans. I also think they retire at a young age because they cant play as well when they get older, For example if the athlete has arthritis once they get older it will begin to act up more.
ReplyDeleteProfessional athletes tend to retire from sports at a young age because, they already have money, so in advance, they can pay for things that they want and need. Also, retiring at a young age is a good idea because if you already have health issues caused from athletic events, you're more likely to injure yourself when you are old.
ReplyDeleteI've never really wondered about athletes retiring because i usually don't watch sports. Now that i think about it, i believe the reason why they retire so early is because "society" wants to see young players not 40 yr olds even if they're one of the best.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you. Old people are amazing and they should play when they want
Deletethose question marks are the old people emoji btw
DeleteEmojis****
DeleteThe pros of having older athletes are that they might have experience in the game. They also know what they're doing hopefully. Also, they're strength improves and the injuries decrease because the more fit they are, the less likely they'll get hurt like back problems or something. The cons are that they might be a little slow since you know, they're old. Also, they will retire early and if they're good, then they would have lost a good player. BUT YOU GO OLD PEOPLE!!!!! (thumbs up emoji)
ReplyDeleteprofessional athletes tend to retire young because sometimes the age they want to retire at is the age for quitting. Eventually athletes get hurt, old, and get health problems. Once you hit that age of thinking about retirement, thats probably the time you should cause you know you're getting to old for the sport.
ReplyDeletethe pros of staying with your sport at a older age is that you have a lot of experience with game also you could be legendary if you were good at the sport. a con is that your bones are older and your more likely to hurt yourself, finally you could also not be the star of the game because people want to see the young ones play.
ReplyDeleteI agree.....but as you get older there's more of a risk for you to get injured.
DeleteProfessional athletes retire because they get weaker and there muscles tend to give out. Sometimes older athletes retire because they just don't have a strong passion for the sport they play anymore. Other times they just feel like they have too much or enough money. Some pros are that they have more experience than the younger athletes. Some cons are that they can get hurt easier and get worst injuries than the younger athletes.
ReplyDeleteMany athletes retire at a young age because they don't need anything else because they made plenty of money. They play for a long time if they have a passion for there sport. If they like there sport they won't want to stop. When your making that much money you will either leave early or just keep having fun. They will play till there body can't take it and their ready to say goodbye.
ReplyDeleteTheres no age limit where you have to stop playing sports. In all reality 50 is a pretty good age limit where you should think about retirement. There have been many athletes playing their sports in the 40's and 50's. Every sport is different, by that i mean different in physical attributes. Like football, wrestling, and soccer. Those are very physical sports that may have you retire at an earlier age.
ReplyDeleteOlder professional players have experience with the game that they are playing. Other pros of older people playing sports is that they are physically fit. They are more experienced than others. The cons are that they react slower and are prone to injury and have slower reflexes. So older people playing sports playing are okay only if they are are strong and more experienced.
ReplyDeletei feel like it depends on the person and how dedicated they are to the sport.for example the former football player ray lewis, ray played the game from his early 20's to mid 40's
ReplyDeleteOlder people can play spots depending on the sport. You could play forever and if you got yourself up to that point. Your muscle get used to it and your whole body. Even your brain it becomes muscle memory.
